After graduating from Birmingham University with a Masters in History, Film & Television, Laurie began working as a freelance Assistant Director on films and dramas for SKY, the BBC (Party Animals, The Amazing Mrs Pritchard, Silent Witness) and ITV (Dracula, Bad Girls).

 

He began script reading for companies such as Element Pictures, Working Title and Brilliant Films, becoming the Assistant to the Head of Development at producer Michael Kuhn’s (The Duchess, Severance) Qwerty Films in 2008.

 

Laurie joined Dan Films in February 2009.
