JASON NEWMARK PRODUCER

Jason was an Associate Producer at Dan Films before producing his first film, Creep, in 2004 by writer/director Christopher Smith.
 
In 2006 he produced comedy-horror Severance. Also directed by Christopher Smith, it was a Dan Films production in association with Michael Kuhn’s Qwerty Films. The film was the first horror ever to be selected for Telluride Film Festival and also played at Locarno and Toronto’s Midnight Madness. A sequel is currently in development. Most recently, Jason and Julie Baines produced the psychological thriller Triangle, starring Melissa George, a UK/Australian Co-Production.
 
Prior to producing, Jason ran development for Dan Films and before that he worked as producer-director for Carlton Television Factual Entertainment. He has a BA in Economics from Manchester University and a PGDip in Film Production from the Northern School of Film and Television.
